Tom Yum Goong!

Okay so this post ain't about the Thai dish called Tom Yum. Now that's one spicy concoction involving lemon grass etc.. (okay so I don't know the full recipe.. so sue me. :P)

Back on track, its the title of Tony Jaa's new action flick. He's the kickboxing dude from Ong Bak : The Thai Warrior. Poster of Ong Bak on the left. Tony played a village dude in that movie, who went to Bangkok to retrieve the severed head of the village's Buddha statue. Some morons stole it and he kicked their asses nicely. Cool movie and he's even cooler now. I'll never forget the Muay Thai moves in Ong Bak.


Now on to Tom Yum Goong, Tony plays a young man named Kham, who grew up with elephants. His dream was to be an elephant guard. Now all goes well until his elephant Por Yai, and Por Yai's baby, Korn? was kidnapped by some poaching idiots who sold them off for some bush-meat restaurant based in Sydney, Australia. And so our hero goes on a mission to rescue his pet pachyderms. I won't spoil the movie so go watch it when you can. You won't regret it, trust me. :)
